What We Do
What We Do- As a 501(c) not-for-profit organization run by volunteer
SLPs, we serve the local community by:
- Providing ASHA-approved and CE Broker registered continuing
education courses for speech-language pathologists. - Coordinating, Participating in, and Promoting local and
national charity events. - Creating networking opportunities to SLPs in the Jacksonville,
Florida area(Duval, Clay, Saint Johns, Nassau, and
surrounding counties) - Collaborating interprofessionally for the benefit of
speech-language pathology services. - Bylaws
Why You Should Be Involved with JASPA
- Building connections, inspiring action, and improving the quality of speech-language pathology for pediatric and geriatric SLPs in all settings (e.g., hospitals, schools, home health, private practice, etc.)
- The Jacksonville Area Speech-Language Pathology Association (JASPA) has been a viable, independent, professional organization since 1989. It was founded by a hospital-based, ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist for the purpose of bringing local SLPs together for higher quality services
- We are led by an executive board of volunteers who are experienced, certified speech language pathologists with varying expertise and work in diverse settings. They have been elected by the membership and work towards the improvement of the lives of SLPs and people with communication and swallowing disorders

Meeting Location/Directions
All meetings are from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at Ascension St. Vincent’s Southside in the Bryan Auditorium. For more information, contact JASPA at jaspaorg@gmail.com.
Ascension St. Vincent’s Southside is located at the intersection of Belfort Road and J. Turner Butler Boulevard at 4201 Belfort Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32216.
Participants may park in LOT “F” in the employee parking near the back left of the hospital. Enter via the Employee Entrance (to the left of the Family Birthplace main entrance); the Bryan Auditorium will be on the left.
