In order to participate in this course, you must have proof of a COVID vaccine

unless there is a medical or religious exemption. PPE will be provided during the hands-on portion, where participants will be passing scopes on others. A mask is not required during the lecture portions of the course.

  • 6:30am- Introduction/course overview
  • 6:45am- FEES/MBS compared anatomy/physiology
  • 7:15am- Salient findings and secretions
  • 8:15am- FEES video review
  • 8:45am- BREAK
  • 9:00am- Gastro-esophageal reflux
  • 9:15am- FEES patient criteria and patients with neurological impairment
  • 9:45am- Patients with pulmonary impairment, Pts with head/neck cancer
  • 10:30am- Begin hands-on training with anatomical head model
  • 11:30am- LUNCH BREAK (light lunch provided)
  • 12:00pm- HANDS ON TRAINING
  • 4:00pm- BREAK
  • 4:30pm- Bolus delivery methods/exam prep and voice assessment
  • 5:00pm- FEES video review
  • 6:00pm- FEES exam abnormal/atypical findings
  • 6:15pm- FEES documentation/referrals post exam
  • 7:00pm- Starting a FEES program
  • 7:30pm- Self assessment and Q&A
